Forest Canyon Estates

When developers set out to tackle a difficult site, they’ll often look to JR Hayes and its decades-long reputation to get the job done. As its name implies, Forest Canyon Estates is situated in the steep hillsides surrounding the Bonney Lake and Lake Tapps communities, and due to its geography, moving the nearly 300,000 cubic yards of soil offered a unique set of challenges. Behind the horsepower of its vast fleet of earth-moving equipment, JR Hayes’ crews were able to balance the site through the wet winter months and constructed a series of tiered MSE walls that leveled the forest canyon hillside into a buildable site for the 120 new homes that now overlook the Sumner Valley.
